-
IS THE TRANSITION TO MUK HYBRID CREAM COLOR DIFFICULT?

IS THE MUK HYBRID CREAM COLOR RANGE COMPREHENSIVE?
-
A muk Hybrid Cream Color offers all salon colour results from just one tube. This means less waste and lower inventory. Combine that with a 100g tube and 1:1.5 or 1:2 mixing ratio, we’re confident that you’ll find that switching to muk Hybrid Cream Color a smart decision for your business.

WHAT ARE SULPHATES?
-
Sulphates are emulsifiers and foaming agents that attract oil and water and assist to help shampoos lather up and foam, allowing grime, product build up and dead skin cells to be easily washed away with water.
Sulphates have been used extensively and safely since the 1930s, found in many personal care products including shampoo, body wash, facial cleanser and toothpaste.
There are varying types of sulphates, with the “-eth” version (used by muk Haircare) being the mildest for skin and hair. The cleansers chosen by muk are plant derived.
There is no scientific evidence to support rumours that sulphates are unsafe. However, muk Haircare respects that some people prefer to choose sulphate free and for those clients we have the muk Spa Argan Oil Repair range, with a coconut derived cleansing base.

WHAT TYPE OF SILICONE DOES MUK HAIRCARE USE IN THEIR PRODUCTS AND WHY?
-
Silicones are ingredients derived from silica – sand. Some silicones have been questioned for their accumulative effect – on the hair and environment.
muk Haircare chooses only high performing, non-accumulative silicones like cyclopentasiloxane which is a colourless, odorless, water thin cosmetic ingredient that is also commonly found in medical implants. It doesn’t absorb into the skin, rather it evaporates quickly away from it. It is used in our products for the purpose of detangling, preventing breakage, reducing frizz and adding shine. They are not toxic and do not strip or damage hair. Silicones shield your strands from harmful elements by creating a protective layer around your hair shaft.

-
ARE MUK HAIRCARE COLOUR PRODUCTS SAFE?

All muk Haircare products are formulated to care and protect the colour of your hair. Specifically, our Vivid muk Colour Lock Shampoo and Conditioner locks in moisture and protects coloured hair from fading while also adding strength and nourishment.

WHICH MUK HAIRCARE PRODUCTS ARE SAFE FOR KERATIN TREATED HAIR?

-
ARE MUK HAIRCARE PRODUCTS VEGAN, VEGETARIAN OR CRUELTY FREE?
-
muk Haircare LOVES animals. In fact, muk Haircare loves animals so much our fur babies even work at muk HQ with us. Caring for our animal family is important to us, which is why we create products that in no way are harmful to animals or are tested on animals. muk Haircare is 100% approved and accredited by PETA as cruelty free.
A couple of ingredients derived by animal by-products are used in our styling products – beeswax and lanolin.
Our muk Hybrid Cream Color is derived from 80% naturally derived and VEGAN and our Fat muk Volumising Blowout Mousse is also Vegan.
-
-
ARE MUK HAIRCARE PRODUCTS NATURAL OR ORGANIC?
-
Sometimes we are asked if our products are organic. The answer is no. We wouldn’t want them to be as this would be unsafe. If a product is truly organic, it would have a very limited shelf life and quickly grow mould (which is organic, but not an ideal ingredient for hair).
We source the best ingredients and combine the best of science and nature to deliver safe, high performing haircare that says what it does and does what it says.

-
WHAT TYPE OF PACKAGING DO WE USE AT MUK HAIRCARE?
-
Choosing packaging that is responsible is important to us at muk Haircare. The majority of our care and styling range is 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium. Unlike plastic, aluminium can be recycled an infinite number of times and does not require the use of crude oil in its manufacture.
The packaging we choose to freight products to salons is recyclable cardboard and biodegradable protective sleeves.
